Once you know your way around the Ollie Pattern Library, a few power features make it dramatically faster to go from blank page to finished design. Here are the three biggest, each with a quick video.
Live Pattern Previews
Every pattern renders as a live, interactive preview — real blocks, your theme’s styles, animations and all — not a static screenshot. Open a pattern and use the Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile toggles to see exactly how it responds before you commit. What you preview is what you get, because it’s already running on your site’s design system.
Add to Favorites
Found patterns you love? Click Add to Favorites and they join your My Favorites collection — one click away every time you open the library. Favorites are saved site-wide, so the shortlist you curate while planning is right there during every build session. Most sites settle into a working set of 10–15 go-to patterns; favorites make that set instant.
Search, Filter, Sort, and Edit
The library is built for finding things fast:
- Search patterns by name, and browse by Categories and Collections in the sidebar.
- Filter to My Favorites or Downloaded to theme, and Sort by latest or name.
- Switch the Grid View between 2, 3, and 4 columns to scan more at once.
- Insert patterns as static (a clean starting design) or dynamic — dynamic patterns pull real content from your site, like your actual latest posts.
- Use Bulk Edit to insert or download several patterns at once, and Add to theme to save a pattern into your theme for offline, permanent use.
