Does Ollie support classic WordPress features?
Ollie is a WordPress block theme built specifically for full site editing. That means it takes full advantage of the latest WordPress features like the site editor, global styles, block patterns, and the block-based WooCommerce templates. Legacy WordPress and WooCommerce features — like the classic Customizer, classic widgets, or PHP-based page builders — may not be supported. Ollie is for users who are ready to build with the WordPress site editor.
Is Ollie officially affiliated with WooCommerce?
Ollie is an independent product and is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by WooCommerce or Automattic. We’re fans of the fine folks who build WooCommerce and aim to create tools to make the WooCommerce experience as fast and beautiful as possible.
Do I need WooCommerce installed to use Ollie?
Nope! Ollie and Ollie Pro work great as a standalone WordPress theme and plugin without WooCommerce. WooCommerce support is an addition to everything Ollie already offers — so whether you’re building a simple website, a portfolio, or a full online store, Ollie has you covered.
What WooCommerce features does Ollie support?
Ollie Pro includes WooCommerce starter sites, a dedicated WooCommerce header design, fully customizable store templates (single product, product archive, cart, checkout, and more), a collection of WooCommerce-specific patterns, and support for the product collection block with multiple card layouts and carousel options. Everything is built with blocks, so it’s fully editable right inside the WordPress site editor.
Do I need coding skills to set up a WooCommerce store with Ollie?
Not at all. The Setup Wizard and Starter Sites handle all the technical setup for you, and every template and pattern is fully editable inside the WordPress block editor — no code required. If you want to go deeper with custom styles, Ollie Pro extensions like Class Manager make that easy too, but it’s completely optional.
Will Ollie work with my existing WooCommerce store?
Yes! If you already have a WooCommerce store running, you can install the Ollie theme and Ollie Pro plugin and start using the WooCommerce templates and patterns right away. We recommend using the Setup Wizard to get your branding dialed in quickly. Just be sure to review your store templates after switching themes, as some layouts may need a few tweaks to match your existing content.
