Creating Template Parts

Exercise – Header and footer styles

Start with the footer styling by wrapping content in a Group block to enable border controls. Add padding, then create the distinctive Bosco borders: 1px top border in light gray and 5px bottom border in red.

Set text color to the secondary contrast color and disable “inner blocks use content width” to ensure full-width display. The default link inheritance behavior works perfectly for the footer links.

For the header, create two nested Group blocks: one for overall borders and spacing, another specifically for navigation alignment. Apply the signature red top border, gray bottom border, and proper spacing.

Handle the site title positioning using block spacing controls and margins rather than padding. This gives you precise control over the visual rhythm that matches the original Bosco design exactly.
