Using the Site Editor

Navigate using the interface

The site editor’s navigation is designed to keep you in flow while building your block theme. Here’s how to move around efficiently.

The top bar gives you quick access: the logo returns you to the dashboard, the preview button shows your live site, and the command palette provides quick navigation shortcuts.

The main menu opens different functionality areas, each with its own preview approach. Navigation and styles show preview panes that let you click through to editing mode. Pages includes a status filter and list view where clicking gives you a preview before jumping into full editing.

Templates and patterns use overview grids with visual previews. This variety of navigation styles makes sense when you understand that each section serves different purposes in your block theme development workflow.
